The collages in this series were all cut and paste, whiteout, and Xerox machines. Now the white backgrounds have begun to take on a colour of their own which I enjoy.

I remember as a young boy laying out on the back lawn and watching bugs. Their small lives. Their plunder of plants. It was a magnificent world. That’s where this flower series began.

Jean-Paul Bourdier. I’m not sure if you can ever tire of using the human body as the central figure in anything. In Bourdier’s pieces the body is the landscape. Fascinating stuff. But would it have been as appealing as say using a raccoon? Still, very clever.
