Val Telberg

23 11 2011

Mr. Telberg began to experiment with photography in the 1940s. He used multiple images to create his surrealist images. Because they are black and white, they have a very dramatic effect. These post-war (WW2)  artists have fascinated me. There must have been a lot of pent up energy after the war. For those who had seen a lot of the war, there must have been a lot of images in their head. For others, the choice of becoming an artist in a booming America, must have had other temptations. Mr. Telberg was associated with Anais Nin. Especially her book House of Incest.
