In this book I am working on the order of blogs written by one of the characters goes in the opposite direction of the flow of the book. The book moves from the past toward the future. Reading the blogs goes from the future to the past since the first blog you’ll read will be the most recent one written. I know all of this sounds so pointless. But I am thinking out loud. It occurred to me as I was thinking about the book that the internal functioning of the internet resembles the thought processes of the human brain. I’m not saying that the internet is a metaphor for the brain, but that the structure of the internet reflects the structure of the human brain. This is either not true, true but accidental, true because humans created the net. If the internet functions like the human brain is it possible that at some future date the internet could become self aware? It would make for an interesting store.
