Colette Calascione

21 10 2011

Colette’s work, much of it, look like artifacts from the Victorian Age. Naughty artifacts. There is an innocence and blush about them. Reminds me of a set of cards the father, of a friend of mine, had. We used them for poker. (Thirteen year olds) It was difficult to focus on our hands. I both like and dislike Colette’s work. Really sitting on the fence with this artist. They are well mastered. But there is no edge to them. They are safe.
