Klimt is one of my favourite artists. But I’m not sure why. The gold plating. The beautiful women who look like bugs in a rug. Snug. the mixture of sexuality and opulence. The movie with John Malkovich is wonderful. As I recall Klimt seems like a bit of a controlling thug. Still, it’s the work. Its the mix of graphic features and the faces of the women that gets to me.
Love Klimt. But I prefer Schiele…darker.
